Overview
The living area of humankind is deeply related not only to the atmosphere and land but also to the ocean. The area of the ocean occupies 70% of the earth's surface, and the total mass of seawater is 260 times that of the entire atmosphere. We have to understand the marine ecosystem, reduce the risk of disasters, and utilize the potential of the marine resources, environmental buffers, and so on. Based on advanced underwater observation and implementation engineering, Center for Integrated Underwater Observation Technology incorporates IoT, artificial intelligence (AI), and big data technology, and create a cyber space (virtual space) which is highly integrated with the physical space of the ocean.
